SEASON 7 REPORT

Just as season 7 has drawn to a close its time to look back on what was a very entertaining season for the Matrix_xFx Rugby Staff members.

18 Games were played by the heroes racking up a mighty tally of 18 wins and 0 loses. A hefty haul of 695 were scored in magnificent fashion whilst conceding 89 extremely lucky points.

Over the past couple of months Matrix_xFx played in all sorts of conditions. In all, 20 players were put on the roster and battled through the baking heat and torrential downpours in what was known as our SA summer!

Due to the undeniable success of our local heroes, hundreds of major businesses came flocking to Matrix_xFx to offer sponsorship and copias amounts of money. After much time spent debating over which company to go with it was finally decided to whittle it down to ‘the one’ company.

With the sponsorship deal secured, the sponsor supplied the team with a very smart new team shirt. These were expertly crafted by Morpheous, who can cater to all your promotional needs at a very competitive rate.

Over all a very successful season was had by Matrix_xFx and a very good time was had by all. They played through great odds and harsh situations and always came out with a smile.

Thanks to all

Now it is to see where we get premoted to. Will it be 2-1 where we will battle it out again with Berlin Foxes? Time will tell….

SEASON 6 to 7

Last season ended with the team ending 2nd on the log.

The team morale was a bit down but a team-building session changed that all.

Season 7 started well.
Almost halve way through the league games and all games have been won. The first team are putting it all in, while the B team is mixing it up to get the best spots in the friendly games. Our new kicker is finding his footing too.

Alot of the friendly games have been infolved in the Super 12 and the next few games are going to be in the SA minnows cup then the ‘BIG’ one – CRR 6.

Cup games saw the team make the 64th round. Much better than last season.

Lets see how the next few weeks go. Here are a few interesting stats:

3 matches have been played and the team has gone and travelled and showed what they got.

So far all games have been won and the coach and management is very proud of the guys.
The third game was unfortunatly forfeited by the other team.
So now it all or nothing for the last game to see if the team can make it to the next round.

BLACK GIANTS GO DOWN

The team travelled to Magyarország- home of the Black Titans.
They are second in their league 2-3, and it was going to be a cracker of a game.

They guys went on the field and gave it their all. The coach wants to just say that he is proud of the guys and staff for all the hard work. Lots of blood sweat and tears have gone into this team and we are not giving up yet!
After a few injuries and a while out of the team Kieran Zondeki made his spot in the team with 2 excellent tries.

One of the superb tries =
————————–
‘Beautiful team try for Matrix_xFx! Ronan Richards starts the move off from the base of the ruck with a quick pass to Oliver Theunissen. There are dummy runners everywhere, and Black Titans look lost out there. Oliver Theunissen puts in a long pass to Ronan Richards who takes the ball on for 10 metres before passing back inside to Kieran Zondeki who sprints for the line, diving over for a very satisfying 5 points. The bench are on their feet. Everyone enjoyed that try, except for Black Titans of course!’

MATRIX_XFX ON A ROLL

Halve way throught the season and not lost a game yet.

The team has grown and the managers have put lots of money in to the stadium. (The more support, the better the team will play)

still lots more to go. We will keep our heads up and continue in the same fasion.

thanks to everyone
