Tyron Henderson

Tyron Henderson was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for $650,000. Yusuf Pathan retains the spot for most expensive player.

Rajasthan had paid only $450,000 for Shane Warne and $475,000 for Graeme Smith last year. They did not get Henderson, 34, without a fight!
The Deccan Chargers kept bidding until the $600,000 mark.

So what’s so special about him? Very simply, he’s the highest wicket-taker in Twenty20 matches, with 74 wickets in 62 games at an average of 21 and an economy rate below seven. He’s played for the Cape Cobras in South Africa, and Middlesex in England, and is nicknamed ‘The Blacksmith’.

Also – his wife is my wedding caterer and venue organiser for my wedding 🙂

East London
A city on the southeast coast of South Africa, situated in the Eastern Cape Province at 32.97°S and 27.87°E.[1]. The city is situated on the Indian Ocean coast, between the Buffalo River, and the Nahoon River, and is the country’s only river port.

Port Alfred
The scenic coastal town of Port Alfred lies midway between Port Elizabeth and East London on the Kowie River. It is a bustling commercial and residential town in magnificently picturesque surroundings. The climate is wonderful, especially from November to June, with calm days and crisp nights, sunny summers and mild winters.

The atmosphere is tranquil yet abuzz with outdoor activities including river and ocean watersports, horserides and trails in neighboring game reserves and aviatic activities at the local Air School. in the lagoon, along golden beaches or in the Royal Alfred Marina and the Marina’s small boat harbour.
